In the course of his tenure as the Governor of New Mexico, Governor Richardson has come up with some general focus areas such as the environment, health care initiatives, drug abuse, and domestic violence, as well as some specific programs to improve the overall quality of life for all New Mexicans. Some of these programs are outlined in the Policy Priorities section in fuller detail, while other specific areas, such as the Performance Review program, Invest New Mexico, and the New Mexico Office on Homeland Security.
