Lt. Governor Diane Denish was the first woman elected Lt. Governor in our state's history. In her position as Lt. Governor, it is Denish's job to serve as the President of the New Mexico Senate and to serve as the acting governor when Governor Richardson is out of state. Chief among her policy priorities are to help improve the lives of children in the state of New Mexico, and she's also the Chairperson of the Children's Cabinet, a board comprised of the directors and department heads of state agencies that work with children.
The Lt. Governor has her own website. If you'd like to learn more about her and her policy initiatives, please go here. |
